1962 Fibras Quimicas starts production activities as Joint Venture between: Mexican company Cydsa (60%) and Dutch company Akzo (40%)
1977 Alfa/Alpek acquires Cydsa’s share
1997 Alpek acquires Akzo-Nobel’s share (40%)
1999 Teijin acquires the 50% of capital stock
2001 Teijin increases its participation to hold 75%
2003 Company name changed to Teijin Akra
2005 Alpek acquires 75% of Teijin’s share - Akra Polyester S.A. de C.V
